Ask Mr. Vitamin was born from that basic desire; to help people with what I know. Ask Mr. Vitamin started out as a simple Question & Answer column in my stores monthly newsletter. It soon grew to a published column in health and fitness magazines. It is now growing again into an honest and integrity based brand. When you see the AMV brand or logo you can know that your not getting a bunch of biased nonsense."

AGE OLD DEBATE...BUTTER vs. MARGARINE!!
Q Margarine or butter? Which do you think is healthier?
Shelby T.
A. No question about it, I would always opt for a natural, healthy, full dairy BUTTER over any margarine. Several reasons behind this statement:
1. BUTTER IS RICH IN HEALTHY FATS: For many years we were led to believe that high fat diets promoted tumor growth. Now we know that it’s not the high-fat diet, but the kind of fats in that diet. A diet high in the wrong kinds of fats promotes tumor growth. A diet high in the right kinds of fats deters cancer growth.
2. BUTTER PROTECTS AGAINST ARTHRITIS: Dutch researcher Wulzen found that it [raw butter fat] protects against calcification of the joints — degenerative arthritis — as well as hardening of the arteries, cataracts and calcification of the pineal gland.
3. BUTTER IS A BRAIN FOOD: That’s because our brains and nervous systems need cholesterol to develop properly. While the brain can make its own cholesterol, it also pulls cholesterol from the blood plasma (which comes from your diet) when it needs more (source). Our brains are over 65% fat. The protective coating on your neurons — called myelin — is also high in fat, measuring at 70%. One of the most common fatty acids in myelin is oleic acid. Natural butter is rich in oleic acid.
Remember, margarine is an engineered food. Most margarine brands are full of chemicals and food coloring.
